Robert "Bob" Sabosik

Robert A. Sabosik is a dedicated public servant and accomplished professional with extensive experience in leadership, business, and community service. 

As Mayor of Point Pleasant Borough, he has led initiatives to improve the town's credit rating, saving substantial costs, parks, roads, and water infrastructure while maintaining stable taxes. 

A graduate of Seton Hall University with a degree in History and Accounting, Robert has combined his business acumen with a passion for serving his community.

Committed to improving lives, he continues to foster growth, resilience, and opportunity for the residents of Point Pleasant and beyond.

Councilwoman

Valerie Coulson

Councilwoman Valerie Coulson, alongside her husband Thomas, have been proud homeowners in Point Pleasant Borough since 1994 and have two daughters, Lierrin and Brianna,  a granddaughter Aryia and grandson Ethan.

Valerie earned her undergraduate degree at William Paterson University with postgraduate work at New York University. She is currently employed at Johnson & Johnson in New Brunswick. 

Before her term as a council member, she served on the Point Pleasant Zoning Board of Adjustment, as well as the President of the Bay Head Shores Property Owners Association.

Valerie’s main priority will be to continue the work our team has accomplished. The Borough is consistently ranked as one of the best places to live, as well as one of the safest communities in all of New Jersey, and she wants to make sure it stays that way.  

 

Councilman

Joe Veni

Councilman Joe Veni is a proud resident of Point Pleasant Borough, where he and his wife are raising their three children. Joe currently serves as the Chief of Operations for Public Works and Utilities in Manchester Township, overseeing critical infrastructure and essential services for the community.

Beyond his professional career, Joe dedicates himself to public service and volunteerism. He is an active firefighter with Toms River Fire Department Station 29, where he has earned Life Member status and serves on the department’s rescue dive team.

Joe earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) and holds a CPWM license (Certified Public Works Manager) issued by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, as well as a LEED AP (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design Accredited Professional) certification issued by the U.S. Green Building Council. 

In addition, Joe currently serves as the Executive State President of the Public Works Association of New Jersey, where he advocates for public works professionals across the state and supports organized labor unions and the highly trained, skilled workforce that keeps New Jersey’s communities running safely and efficiently. Before his time on Town Council, he was also a member of the Zoning Board of Adjustment.

Joe is committed to building on the progress our team has made by furthering continued growth and expanding opportunities for the residents of Point Pleasant.
